In 2016, Vance, New York City police and the Waterfront Commission of New York Harbor identified Sinde as one of two ringleaders in a Mafia-linked scheme to ship hundreds of pounds of marijuana from California to New York for illegal sale. A judge sentenced Sinde to 2 to 6 years in prison and ordered he forfeit nearly $30,000. In 2017, Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance announced that Sinde pleaded guilty for his part in a Bonanno crime family crew’s illegal gambling operation and illicit sale of the prescription erectile dysfunction drugs Cialis and Viagra. Ingrao has a federal drug conviction for which he spent time in federal prison. The indictment accused both Sinde, known as “Richie,” and Ingrao, known as “Bobby,” with conspiring and possessing cocaine with intent to sell between March 29 and April 2.īoth men have prior criminal histories.
